This is perhaps the most celebrated work of one of the main pioneer masters of industrial design in Spain. This lamp was part of the first collection of TRAMO (Trabajos Molestos), the company that Miguel Milá founded to self-produce his work in post-war times in Spain, when he began rudimentary with a profession that he would later develop with mastery, that of pre designer -industrial, looking for suitable solutions with the available technology. Annoying work, the names of Mila are like their objects: their depth lies in their simplicity. And this representative of the TM family, Mobile Section, this time in Madera, is presented as the informal alternative, or blue jeans, of it.

In an exquisite demonstration of formal serenity and functional efficiency, Miguel Milá managed to brilliantly separate the three essential elements of any lamp: its structure, its electrical components and its screen, so that the user assembles them with extreme ease and allows better maintenance during Its very long service life. A blade-shaped base supports a first section of the shaft, of square section, which changes in circular when it reaches its midpoint. Through it the screen moves up and down, retained at the desired height by the resistance of a simple O-ring. A true lesson of intelligence and good taste with the minimum use of components. This was Miguel Milá's first product reissued by Santa & Cole, in 1986, when he was twenty-five years old, and today he presents a range of five different woods for his structure, and two screen colors, white or beige.
