The washable Veggie Garden rug offers a symbolic gardening play activity for children to have fun at home, without making a mess!
More like a fluffy cotton play mat than a simple rug, its surface hides small pockets where the included textile vegetables can be "planted." Its uniformly toned design, in the natural beige hue of the cotton fiber itself, combines various pile heights and multiple weaving techniques (cut pile, loop pile, and chenille) to achieve a mixed texture finish, while its irregular outline provides an organic look to the rectangular shape of the piece.
It comes with a drawstring cotton bag containing 15 handmade cotton canvas vegetable pieces, combining carrots, radishes and cabbage leaves. These can be placed in the pockets of the rug for fun gardening. Everything comes in a practical cotton bag with handles, printed with illustrations, which also serves to store the rug.
