Initially presented in 1938, Little Petra won instant praise at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Exhibition, and subsequently won awards at exhibitions in New York and Berlin. It is one of the few designs by architect Viggo Boesen, who was associated with the aesthetics of Denmark's characteristic design in the 1930s called funkis style.
Distinguished by a softer and more abundant organic aesthetic that challenged Bauhaus's minimalist approach.
Little Petra is surprisingly small, capable of adapting to all types of spaces, interiors and environments. Under the floor, open and embraced, embodies the essence of an armchair, allowing all kinds of seats in any cozy environment imaginable. A lot of work has been done to ensure maximum comfort, from the seat to the upholstery. Respecting Boesen's love for natural materials, the chair's legs are made of oak or walnut. The result is a lovely sunbed that invites you to stay.
