Medidas Silla J42 HAY

HAY’s reproduction of Børge Mogensen’s classic J42 chair clearly reflects his design philosophy.

Precise proportions with simple horizontal and vertical lines are used to construct a curved spindled backrest and angular armrests.

With a broad plywood seat and frame in solid oak or beech, the design has a timeless quality that is built to provide lasting comfort.

Available in oiled oak and a variety of natural or coloured finishes.

MATERIALS

BACKREST

Oak veneer. Coloured versions in beech veneer.

SEAT

Beech veneer core with top and bottom layers in oak veneer. Coloured versions feature top and bottom layers in beech veneer.

BASE

Solid oak. Coloured versions in solid beech.

OPTIONS

Plastic gliders for all floorings that are not too sensitive. Sold seperately and should be mounted by the customer. Felt gliders for wooden floors. Sold seperately and should be mounted by the customer.

Seat cushions.

CONSTRUCTION

Moulded beech seat with oak- or beech veneer layers. The chair parts are fitted together with adhesive, before inserting a screw connection into the seat to ensure optimal durability. Painted versions have a layer of paper on the top to prevent cracks to the veneer. Assembled.
